Miraishield Private Limited, in partnership with its design associate Giprorechtrans LLC, participated in the 92nd International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD 135) 2024, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event served as a premier platform for Miraishield to present its comprehensive expertise in design, manufacturing, and installation of PVC Geomembranes and Geocomposites for Rockfill Dams, Geomembrane Faced Reinforced Dams (GFRD), and Pump Storage Projects.
Miraishield’s PVC geomembranes, engineered to meet ICOLD Bulletin 135 specifications, represent the next generation of hydraulic containment materials—combining superior mechanical properties, longevity, and installation precision. The company’s integrated capabilities encompass design validation, factory production, and complete field installation, providing a one-stop solution for water-retaining and hydraulic infrastructure applications.
ICOLD 2024 marked a milestone as the prestigious global event returned to India after nearly a decade, drawing over 1,200 delegates including 700+ international participants—representing the world’s leading experts in dam and hydraulic engineering.
Miraishield pavilion garnered significant attention from key industry leaders, including senior officials from NTPC, NHPC, THDC, BBMB, and major pump storage developers such as Greenko, Adani, JSW, and Acme, alongside global consultants like AFRY, Lombardi, TCE and Tractebel. Delegates witnessed firsthand Miraishield’s end-to-end capabilities—from design to manufacturing and on-site execution—reinforcing its position as a technology leader in geomembrane-based hydraulic solutions.
A highlight of the event was invite to Mr Vikas Rastogi, Director & CEO, Miraishield to deliver a keynote lecture on “Contemporary Geomembranes for Pump Storage & Hydraulic Projects.” This distinct invite placed Miraishield among only two global leaders selected to present advanced geomembrane technologies for pump storage applications at ICOLD 2024—a testament to Miraishield’s engineering excellence and innovation leadership.
Through its participation and recognition at ICOLD 2024, Miraishield has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing India’s capabilities in hydraulic design, sustainability, and infrastructure innovation, marking another significant step in establishing India as a global hub for geomembrane technology and water resource engineering excellence
